Laptop Lending
Power up learning
Access to a reliable laptop is essential to complete coursework, attend virtual classes and stay connected to your learning environment. With support from Eduscape, the Laptop Lending Program provides Chromebooks™ to BHMT-eligible participants enrolled in BHMT-sponsored education or training. This program ensures that you have access to the technology you need to succeed without the financial burden of purchasing a computer.
To qualify for the Laptop Lending Program, you must:
- Be a KP Union Alliance or Coalition employee with “active” KP employment status.
- You must be a benefited employee, typically working 20 or more hours per week.
- Have completed your probationary period.
- Be enrolled in a BHMT-sponsored program while using the laptop.
- This is a Laptop Lending program to support BHMT-eligible KP employees while they engage with BHMT programs and services.
- Keep the laptop as long as you need it. As long as you are actively enrolled in any BHMT program or service you are welcome to continue using your Chromebook.
- Return the laptop when no longer needed or upon request from BHMT. Since the Chromebook belongs to BHMT,
- You must return it when you complete your course of study and do not anticipate re-enrolling in another BHMT program or service within the next 3 months.
- You must return it immediately if a change in employment makes you no longer eligible for BHMT benefits.
- You must return it within 15 days if BHMT officially requests you to do so.
- Failure to return your device upon request may put access to other BHMT programs at risk.
